Lessons from Madame Chic

Backstory

The inspiration for Lessons from Madame Chic started as a series called The Top 20 Things I Learned While Living in Paris on Jennifer’s blog, The Daily Connoisseur. Jennifer received such an interested response from readers, she decided to record the lessons she learned in a book.

When looking for representation for Lessons from Madame Chic, Jennifer was met with rejection from dozens of literary agents so she decided to self publish the book in November 2011. The book was an instant success, garnering acclaimed reviews in major publications like CNN, The New York Times and The Daily Mail. It was also a bestseller on Amazon and nearly broke into Amazon’s top 100.

After its self published success, Jennifer signed with Erica Silverman of Trident Media Group and together they sold the North American rights to world renowned publishing house Simon & Schuster. The book is now a newly edited, beautifully illustrated hardcover edition fit for the chicest of coffee tables and ladies’ boudoirs. Quelle merveille!
